Here’s the sign of the times for today: a KFC Fried Chicken store has closed and a medical marijuana branch has opened up as Kind for Cures in it’s place.
In California the medical marijuana business is thriving while the KFC brand is struggling to decide what kind of business they should be. Kind for Cures has a clever new marketing plan: a free 1/8 for first time customers.
If the KFC/Kind for Cures change works, it’s another indication of how strong the medical marijuana business can be. Some even suggest that full legalization and subsequent taxation is the perfect solution to bring California out of its deficit.
If marijuana stores start taking over other closed locations, redesigning storefronts into medical marijuana dispensaries could boom.
