Larry King faces trial for growing marijuana.
He’s not the well-known CNN talk show host – but he might be remembered as the first Michigan medical marijuana permit holder to go on trial for possessing pot.
Police and prosecutors say King grew marijuana outside his Owosso home, and that the container it grew in was not secure.
They say that violates the rules under which people with a medical marijuana permit can grow it.
Officers served a search warrant and arrested King the other week. He faces one count of manufacturing marijuana.
On Tuesday, a Shiawassee County judge there was enough evidence to send King’s case to trial.
He’ll be back in court for a pre-trial hearing next month.
