POLICE have allegedly uncovered more than 30kg of cannabis worth an estimated $125,000 after raiding a makeshift campsite in bush near Manjimup last night.
Manjimup police and detectives from the Organised Crime Squad were led to the remote site, 40km south of the timber township, after a tip-off.
There, police allegedly discovered about 29kg of cannabis packed in hessian bags.
Police executed a search warrant on
a house on the outskirts of Manjimup where it will be alleged officers located 2.3kg of cannabis and a smoking implement.
Officers arrested 56-year-old Peter Mervyn Dunn and charged him over the discovery.
Mr Dunn appeared in Bunbury Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody until Tuesday, when it is expected he will apply for bail.
