Police have charged a man with growing nearly 3000 marijuana plants in a suburban backyard south of Brisbane.
Drug Squad investigators executing a search warrant at an address in Lincoln Street at Park Ridge this morning found the crop, which was allegedly being grown inside the house and in an outdoor area.
About 2700 plants were seized, including 1500 seedlings and 1200 mature specimens.
A 41-year-old man has been charged with producing and possessing dangerous drugs and utensils and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court later today.
A 37-year-old woman has also been issued with a summons to appear on a drugs possession charge.
