Two charged after cannabis plants found in Alveley
Two men have been charged with growing cannabis following a raid in which police found cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £50,000.
Officers said they found about 170 plants in the raid on Thursday in Alveley, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
West Mercia Police said the two men, both in their 20s, were due to appear before magistrates in Telford later.
One was also charged with resisting and obstructing a constable in the execution of his duties.
Both men were from the Wolverhampton area, police said.
