Everton striker arrested over cannabis, fake cash
LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Everton striker Jose Baxter has been arrested for possession of cannabis and counterfeit money.
The 17-year-old Baxter was detained Monday in Liverpool along with two other men, aged 29 and 34.
Merseyside Police said Tuesday: "All three men have been released on police bail pending further inquiries."
Baxter made his professional debut for Everton on the first day of last season, making him the club's youngest senior player at 16 years and 191 days.
The forward has represented the team twice this season in the Europa League.
