Guns and drugs seized in Cork
Gardaí in Cork have recovered three firearms, believed to be handguns, in the Inniscarra area.
An investigation has been launched and the weapons are to be taken to Garda Headquarters for examination.
Elsewhere, in a seperate operation, gardaí recovered a quantity of cannabis after a car was stopped and searched in the Watergrasshill area.
Five kgs of suspected herbal cannabis with a potential street value of around €50,000 euro was seized.
A 37-year-old man was arrested and is being detained at Cobh Garda Station.
