Two held following Co Meath drugs seizures
Gardaí in Dublin are questioning a 52-year-old man following the seizure of more than €300,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine.
Officers from the Dublin North Central Drugs Unit stopped a car in Bellewstown in Co Meath at 5pm this evening.
They found 3kgs of cocaine, which is thought to have a street value of around €240,000.
The man is currently being detained at Store Street Garda Station.
In a follow-up search at Oxmanstown Road, near the North Circular Road in Dublin, another 10kgs of cannabis was discovered.
The seizures were made as a result of an investigation into drug trafficking in the capital.
Elsewhere, a 43-year-old man has been arrested after gardaí seized 1kg of heroin, worth an estimated €200,000, following a search of a house in the Cloverhill area of Dublin.
The man is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
