Drugs and gun seized in raid

A handgun and cannabis with a street value of about 10,000 euro have been seized during a house raid in Dublin.

Detectives swooped on the house in the Cappagh area of Finglas - in the north of the city - on Friday evening.

A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being held under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act. He can be questioned for up to seven days.
