Cannabis grow op raided in Galway City
A 37 year old man has been charged with the possession, cultivation and sale or supply of cannabis with a street value of around fifty thousand euro.
Mark Webster, with an address at 5 new road Galway city was arrested last Saturday evening.
Following a planned Garda raid on the house, around 100 cannabis plants were discovered, which have an estimated street value of €50,000.
Appearing before Galway District court today, Webster was charged under the misuse of drugs act.
He made no response to the charges, and the defence made no application for bail.
Webster will appear before the courts again next Monday, February 1st for the direction of the DPP.
