Three arrested after cannabis plants seized near Leighlinbridge
Gardai have arrested three men and seized a quantity of cannabis plants following an operation near Leighlinbridge, Co.Carlow.
Officers from the National Drugs Unit, and Carlow garda station, searched a property in the area yesterday evening.
At the premises they discovered 500 cannabis plants, as well as equipment used for growing the plants. The plants, subject to analysis, may have a street value of up to €200.000.
Three men in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and are detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
