Cannabis and ecstasy seized in Armagh drug raids

THREE people were arrested during a pre-planned anti-drugs operation in Co Armagh yesterday.  Quantities of Ecstasy and cannabis were seized during raids on a series of properties in Lurgan and Portadown mounted by the Tactical Crime Unit.

Illicit cigarettes and a sum of cash were also recovered.

A police spokeswoman said a 28-year-old man was later charged with possession of Class B drugs and bailed to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on October 1.

A 37-year-old man remained under arrest being questioned about possession of Class A and B drugs.

A 26-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of having fake ID documents.
