Drugs discovered at Mallusk sorting office
MALLUSK: Suspected cocaine and herbal cannabis with a street value of £25,000 were uncovered yesterday during routine parcel scanning at Royal Mail's Mallusk sorting office. The discovery was made by a sniffer dog working with the PSNI crime operations drug squad.
A PSNI spokesman said a female was arrested in follow-up searches in north and south Belfast and is helping police with their inquiries.
He said drugs paraphernalia was also recovered.
A spokesman for Royal Mail confirmed the seizure at Mallusk and said: “We will always provide the police with whatever assistance is possible.”
