Drug study results
ULSTER: The MS Society NI has welcomed the results of a new study which says that a cannabis-based drug can offer long-term pain relief for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Forty-two people from across the UK suffering from central neuropathic pain took the drug for 12 weeks.
Participants were then either given a placebo, or chosen to continue taking Sativex for a further four weeks.
